Which screenings & shots should I get?

  • ​Breast (mammogram exam)

  • Colon (colonoscopy exam)

  • Prostate (blood test for PSA)

  • Gynecological (pap exam)

  • Lung (computed tomography exam)

  • Skin (visual exam)

  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) shot

    • Available for both men and women.

    • Protects against many cancers - cervical, rectal, oropharyngeal, vaginal, vulvar, and penile cancers.

City of Chicago

  • Amani-Trinity United Church of Christ​​ 

    • Free or reduced-cost mammograms, support groups for survivors and families, and educational workshops. Located at 400 W 95th St, Chicago, IL 60628

Northwest Indiana

  • Northshore University Health Systems Highland Park Hospitals 

    • Accessible mammography for those with physical limitations. Located at 777 Park Ave West, Highland, IN 60035 

  • Regional Health Systems Health Clinic 

    • Primary care, women’s care (OB/GYN, gynecological exams, and annual physicals), men’s care (prostate exams, screenings, physical exams, and more). Financial assistance is available.

South Suburban Chicagoland

  • Access Community Health Network 

    • Primary and preventative care, women's health, low-cost family planning, management of chronic diseases, a discount prescription drug program, and transportation assistance. Both locations accept Medicaid and Medicare. Spanish-speaking services are available.

  • Affiliated Oncologists

    • ​Cancer imaging tests and scans, including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) to combination PET/CT scans, and more.

  • Aunt Martha’s Health Center

    • ​Primary care, preventative care (cancer screenings, prostate for sure) & women’s health (OB/GYN). Located at 52 W. 62nd St, South Holland, IL 60473

  • Christian Community Health Center 

    • Primary care and women’s health including breast cancer screenings, pap smears, and social support services as needed. Financial assistance is available.

  • Cook County Health (Affiliates) 

    • Preventative care, primary care services, women's health services, genetic screening, and cancer screenings (including bladder, breast, colon, kidney, lung, ovarian, prostate, stomach, and more). Transportation services are available.

    • Primary care services (including a smoke cessation counseling service for lung cancer) and women's care in Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), annual exams, cancer screenings, fibroid and ovarian cyst treatment, preventative services, and more. Accepts Illinois Medicaid.

  • Equal Hope

    • A free breast health program that services breast, cervical, and other women's cancers. Here you can input your information and a program navigator will assist you with a screening. Spanish-speaking services available.
